The Geography and Gender Research Group of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) participated in the 3rd European Conference Rural Geographies in Transition at the University of Groningen from 26-29 June 2023. Three papers were presented in two different sessions: “Exploring new masculinities in rural Spain” and “From the city to the countryside: sexual and gender dissidence deconstructing Catalan rurality”, to the session on Gender and diversity studies in rural areas, and “Emotional geographies of children in postcovid rurality (Catalonia, Spain)” to the session on the creation of spaces by and with rural youth.
An enriching experience and an opportunity to share research lines with other European research groups.
