Schedule

 

Module lectures are from 16:00 to 20:00, Monday to Friday.

Professional practice is carried out part time at enterprises or institutions during two months (150 hours).

Lectures are given in Catalan, Spanish or English according to the lecturer’s origin and the language of the majority of the students.

Course materials are available in one of the three languages, according to the lecturer’s origin.

Students work can be done in any of the three languages.

Recent graduates of any discipline related to geospatial content or information technology that wish to acquire a professional specialization with high future potential.

Active professionals of any discipline related to geospatial content or information technology that wish to improve or redirect their careers towards new and successful professional opportunities.

Facilities for the students

 

Research lab with one high-level computer for each student and a set of advanced graphic devices (plotters, scanners, GPS,…). Each computer is equipped with the latest versions of professional software used worldwide, both commercial (ArcGIS Advanced, ArcGIS Server, ArcObjects, GeoMedia, AutoCAD Map 3D, MiraMon,…) and open source (gvSIG, QuantumGIS, MapWindowGIS, Geoserver, MapServer, OpenLayers, etc.).

Students have free access to the lab facilities at any time during the course.

Communication of admission

 

15 days (maximum) after submission of application and required documentation. Foreign candidates should send also two references or recommendation letters.

Admission is required to proceed to the enrollment.

Master’s price is 6.500 € for the whole course (UAB registration fee of 31,25 € not included)

Payment can be split in two parts (60% in September 2016 and 40% in December 2016).
